Why we need a ban on Formula 1 in India...

Its got nothing to do with being fuel conscious, its got nothing to do with extravagance, opulence and seeming lack of modesty around a Formula one race.

Its about the unnatural effect Formula One viewership has had on the public bus drivers of Delhi. If one were to describe their skills in one sentence - suffice it to say " Dog in the Manger" - their objective in life is very simple - Naa jeeo, no jeene do exemplified in simpler terms as Naa Jaao, na jaanedo....

When a Formula One driver is executing his strategy on track it is very exciting to watch but when you are subjected to it (without being informed that you are in a race..!) on a daily basis by opponents who have the obvious competitive advantage - their vehicles are on an avg. 10 times the size of yours, they dont care about maintenance or appearance of their vehicles and most of all, they dont care if you dont come out of the race alive - its a funny game they play...me thinks sometimes, they are racing themselves....you see this is the reason why I think they are unduly influenced by Formula One......Aryton Senna apparently once remarked (I didnt think these racers also had the gravitas to think of these things...) that the difference between F-1 and the myriad otehr race forms is simple - in F-1, the racer is competing more with himself than his opponents - pushing the limits of his endurance, get the last bit of performance out of his machine and trying to outdo the conditions......if it so happens that he has done this better than his opponents, he will win.......ergo, my friends in delhi buses..!

Doesnt this sound familiar to Delhi-ites? I dont have an immediate solution to the problem....except wait and watch as the metro build out crawls along......and of course an immediate ban on the broadcast of Formula One in India.!
