So I go on....

o.k - so I'm going to try to keep this going.....I'm not supposed to be in front of the comp so late....but then well. Ok so now what do I say?......lets talk about cricket and India's obsession with it. It's funny how we even started to like the game - its a typically stupid british sport - created by rich fat asses who had nothing better to do for 6 to 8 whole days and needed to invent some recreation to keep their bellies from bursting at the seams - then we fight two hundred years for freedom from everything british but we end up better (well, not the present Indian team and the present English team) than them at the only two things that are truly english - the language and cricket....>! Then we are not even very good at the game.....yeah, we do have a few individual talents, but please - this IS a team game and we suck at playing for one another....wait the reasons are not over - India is really not one country - it is a federation of many different cultures - South India and North India are so far apart - there is more in common between North India and Pakistan than below the Vindhyas...so how, please tell me, how can such different people be equally obessed with one Stupid Foreign game??!!!.....

O.k - now to set the record straight - I am crazy, absolutely mad about cricket - I can sit and watch endless hours of it - it doesnt matter who is playing whom, why, when, where.....I can watch and appreciate cricket - I am one of millions of arm chair experts who sits and coaches the Indian team every ball and have an opinion about every move of the poor captain out on the field. Yah lets talk about that now - the most difficult job in the world today - no Im not talking about the US Presidency - thats not the most difficult, thats reserved for the dumbest.....Im talking about the INdian cricket captain - he has to be a great sportsman, leader, politician, team member, ageless wonder, actor.....etc etc come on - even Superman would have quietly worn his undies inside when given this job description.........yet the craze only grows - its like a vicious cycle - the public show some interest, the media picks it up - the advertisers go crazy....in between the Indian team wins ONE match, so the public response goes up ever so slightly - the media goes maaad - the advertisers just hit the moon....and so on - where exactly will all this end???? - is there any end to the "expectations" - everytime the indian team steps out onto the fiels - they are expected make 450 runs of course for no loss, then roll out the opposition for 27 in about 3 overs....and do this day in and day out....come on guys you cant even expect this off the Australian team - that set of ageing losers did I hear..?:-)). Lets see, if the Indian team continues losing as they are now - I have no doubt in my mind that Sourav will be gone - a few more heads may roll, lots of new faces, rebuilding (which means more losses, means more criticism - means more pressure on the poor players - more losses and so on)....if on the other hand, they miraculously recover and start winning a few matches - woosh, talk will start flying about how India is destined to win the next world cup......means more pressure, means they will lose and the whole story starts again.......PLEASE - leave the guys alone - give them thirty matches - dont expect a thing, then if they still dont improve - sack them all - ban cricket and find something better to do - like writing a comment on this blog......

Now I got to go and catch some sleep....so good night and catch you tomorrow.....
